Beyond Ourselves

We added another page tonight,
I laid open my heart --
you shared the words I prayed
to hear -- confirmation
of a day born beyond ourselves.

You whispered contentment,
as I told you of a trace my hand
longs to make.
I breathed in your silence,
as I made known the trail my lips
yearn to follow --
a place where your flesh says
''woman'' and where my soul
hears the past transformed into
songs of light.

We looked within our sanctuary,
where touching you, is touching me.
Holding our hands above the candle
lit more then a year ago --
passion yet burns -- its flame blue
with courage, its warmth green
with life.

Loving, it towers above the death
of habit.
Escalating through rings of distant
clouds -- above the storms --
it breeds endearment, held by our faith.

Every woman on passions should reply to this one, it's incredibly romantic. Very, very nice.
