In the courtyards and regions
precious strings of violins doth play
tranquil peace of ancient abbeys
and monasteries by the bay

surrounded by grape vineyards
and century old stained glass
monks chant their prayer rhymes
and recite their morning mass

melody of fountains and choir sings
monastery monks, their faith within clings
behind walls the bougainvillaea climb
the celibate monks cherish their time

Reach high, for stars lie hidden in your soul.
Dream deep, for every dream precedes the goal.

Victoria, a beautiful and serene poem.

"precious strings of violins doth play
tranquil peace of ancient abbeys"

"an afixiation a fix on anything the line of life the limb of a tree
the hands of he and the promise that s/he is blessed among women".
Patti Smith

Victoria, There is something deeply romantic of days gone by (at least in my mind) and in the serenity of those thoughts, your words have taken me...very much enjoyed.
