She wandered through the forest
Through the thick brush and the trees.
Trying to find her way out
As she stumbled to her knees.

Now standing there before her
Was an ugly little troll.
His hair was green and his eyes were pink
And on the tip of his nose was a mole.

Startled by the sight of him
She jumped up to her feet.
Looking in every direction
Not knowing which way to retreat.

Backing herself in a corner
Her heart was pumping fast.
Trying to decide
Just how to run on past.

But suddenly her heart stopped
As she looked at the little guy.
He was reaching out his hand to her
As a tear fell from his eye.

He swallowed hard and said,
"Please don't run away.
I'm all alone in this forest
I too, don't want to stay.

I once ran into a wicked old hag
And she put a spell on me.
She turned me into an ugly troll
I'm really not what you see."

He said, "if you kiss me on my cheek
a handsome prince I will be.
I'll take you to my castle
And keep you there with me.

She gave it a moment and thought, why not.
This just may be my lucky day.
She closed her eyes and gave him a kiss,
And in a puff of smoke she was whisked away.

When the smoke had finally settled
And she was able to look around.
In the water under a bridge she saw her reflection.
And an ugly little "she" troll she found.

Eloise I believe Love is like this...sometimes we just have to take a chance on Love...in fact we can not resist...not knowing the outcome...sometimes good and sometimes bad...but we had to take that chance...James
