Beyond my small world
Beyond this house, this street
This little town
Beyond the rolling hills
That seem to touch the sky
He is waiting for me

Will he have to come to me
Or will I come to him?
I don't know this, all I know
Is that someday, we will meet

Oh, and what a day that will be
I might not know it's him right away
But then we'll start talking
And I'll look into those eyes
And I'll know

And we'll love each other
With a love that defies description
A love that doesn't die with life
A love that doesn't fade

It might be tomarrow
Or a hundred years from now
But I know that day will come
But until that day arrives
I'll keep on hoping
And know that there's someone special
And a whole other world
Beyond the rolling hills

Yes, there is a whole world waiting for you, and there is someone special for you. But always remember the the rainbow's end is right there at your kitchen door. Never forget those things that you hold dear. No matter where you go, they'll always be in your heart.
Your writing is so beautiful. I love the thoughts in this poem. I especially love the first verse

Ah, it sounds like you await the arrival of your "soulmate."  Many people don't believe what you've descibed here can really happen.  But it can and does.  It may mean "practicing patience" for a decade or two,  but *believe me* he'll have been worth the wait once you find him.  ;-)
