My love for you is forged from steel,
time will never change the way I feel,
through times hard, and through times tough,
I will tell the truth, i'll never bluff.

I lost you years ago,
that grim day when you had to go,
feelings that I now hide from show.

In my silence your face shines through,
I'll never loose my love for you,
small pictures hidden in my files,
your blond hair, your huge smiles,
snippets of history, snippets of love,
we did fit together, hand in glove.

The love that I have, Is love that is true,
nothing compared, that was between me and you,
I smashed that love, I now know what I lost,
something so wonderful, and beyond cost.

I read you that poem, the one that was glum,
that said our love was over and done,
your face dropped sadly, my heart broke,
I hurt you with the words I spoke.

Now I look back, and  I feel so sad,
thinking of things and times we might have,
for now i'm wanting, and thinking of you,
that love was so strong and true.

Rich - ah, the times we wish we could
take back time and know what we do now.
This is a sweet mournful poem ---

Hi Slashed soul,

This is how I feel about someone that used to be, and you wrote it so perfectly, thank you so much for sharing this.
