Through a clearing,gently dancing,
   a unicorn with beauty...prancing
snorts greeting to the morning traces
of dew on grassy upturned faces
Laughing meadow cries,echo falling
like the call of mystic thralling
And all around is mist enshrouded
All in a cloud is shadow founded
The unicorn with steps recorded
on tender slopes she has cavorted,
listens to retreating breezes
   Dripping water winter freezes
Turning,dipping without malice,
sipping as though from a chalice
Testing all and taking any
   token blades from glades a-plenty

Oh, I love this. I can see it all in my mind. Just beautiful. Chris

Thanks for liking this.It feels like centuries ago when I wrote this.I just bought the DVD of "Legend" last week,so I suppose that had something to do with inspiring me to submit this.

Peace,unicorn lovers,Geoffrey

Your writing period of this was when my children were younger, and collecting unicorns was one of their things "to do"...I don't know how many unicorns I would touch, looking for treasures for them...but I do recall, and you brought back some tender memories, Geoffrey...thank you...
