 If I could capture your heart Even for just a day I'd give away my soul That's a price I'd dearly pay Just to hold your heart in mine For a day or maybe two Would mean we'd be together The two of us Me and You I'd give anything for that Even for only just awhile Give anything to hold your heart in mine And watch them both smile How happy they would be Together entwined as one Together smiling happily Until the day was done Then they'd slowly drift apart Never to touch again There my heart broken My soul of course slain Because I sold my soul to have your heart For a day or maybe two And that was the price I paid To hold the heart of you Love is the life of the soul... It is the harmony of the universe |

a great poem i really like the ending were you think about the effect of selling your soul but would still do it anyway. great job I'm the lord, I'm the havoc, I'm the soul |

Tracci a wonderful poem filled with yearning for love. Sometimes it is a very tempting idea, and I wonder if I had the chance would I sell my soul for love. really enjoyed reading your poem. |
