It could be the way you smiled at me
that left me speechless
all the things I wanted to say
safly concealed behinde my lips

Maybe it's was that look in your eyes
that flooded me with warmth
my body whispering the things
in my mind I refused to believe

Sometimes I think it's how it felt to be near you
that destroyed the walls I had built
the feelings damned behinde
freed to wind through my thoughts

Always I fought to ignore it all
a friendship I could not stand to loose
but now I look upon you holding someone tight
and I know wishing will not change the past

Hey, great poem.  I really liked the way you ended it.  It kind of makes people think.  Well keep up the good work.

Very nice poem. Personally, I like the first stanza the most. Good job, keep it up!

great poem....sorry it didn't work out for you, but to tell you the truth sometimes your own secret wishes really do come true.

That really is a great poem.  I adore the calm and suttle sadness you portray here....great job.
