I'm Drowning In A City

I'm drowning in a city,
with yellow streets
and tomato plants,
with stained glass
and string.
I'm drowning in a city,
with plastic faces,
purple swirled lies,
depths of pain
and concrete.
I'm drowning here,
with coffee stains
and pink rain puddles,
with sidewalks
and smoke.
I'm losing the battle,
with oarless boats
and cobblestone paths,
with tangles and fruit
and you,...
I'm drowning in a city.

Drowning in a city, or drowning in a flat in a city. A lot of pictures here, fire. Liked it a lot!

Like this one!  New style for you I think.  I am drowning in a sea of poetry over here!!  LOL....some day I will get through it all.  Great work and beautiful images my friend.  Hope that all is well for you.  Miss you.

Why do you always outdone yourself my friend? I am not complaining just complementing. Great work.

Great imagery. I like it a lot. I could almost feel the city taking my breath away. I specially liked the title.

I like the images here. Its funny how all of the colours of a city tend to run together into grey. Well, in Cincinnati anyway.
