A vision of you came to me,
It reopened my casket of feelings,
Long laid to rest,
A memory of you came to me.

A picture of you came to mind,
Frozen in time, ever youthful,
Eyes showing your spirit and laughter we shared,
Excuse my meanderings, I'm only being truthful.

A hologram appeared before me,
Again an image of you,
How I long to be safe in your arms again,
And smell that manly alluring smell that was you.

A memory came to mind,
The way your breathing quickens,
When you're filled with passion,
A sweet memory that came to mind.

Long forgotten feelings caressed this heart,
Remembering how special you made me feel,
How respected, interesting, intelligent and loved,
Such feelings relived, came to mind.

Alas now they are only memories,
Special days long gone by,
I cherish those special memories, when they come to mind,
Our times of happiness together, before such love finally died......

I'll tell you this...... No eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn.....

My dear, you aren't that far off the drama scheme than I am with this one    If you can't use a little dramatization, then what do we have in our art?  This is beautiful, the first one of yours I truly, utterly, dearly, loved!  I look forward to more!
(then again, I'm still kinda new here  )

Isis...This is another beautiful piece you have turned out.  Such depth of emotion...such feelings beyond emotion.  Exceptional.  Hardrock

Isis,
yes, I know this feeling also. . . you're happy when you remember them. . . but sad that they're gone. . .

Wonderful. . .

Isis, that walk down memory lane that we take...which was the road leading to where we are now. Bittersweet, you did an excellent job again!!!

~Isis,...once again, your words have totally touched my heart. You express yourself so well through your writing. I do admire that. Take care now. *Peace.

Thanks everyone but really!!  I don't 'feel' that any of my stuff is exceptional etc.  Some of you write far better than I!  Perhaps it is merely the emotional depth you all relate to??  But thankyou

Isis~~Very touching, as well as bittersweet...Sometimes clinging to memories of happier times is the only way to make it through the rough stuff.
Very nice poem!
Be well,
