I had a dream, once, a long
time ago,

Of colourful rainbows and
stormy waterfalls,

Of a bright sunny sky and
stormy clouds,

A well decorated room and
a hall of white,

Spectacular looking people and
plain children,

A sad depressing song and
bright piano music,

People fighting and dying
while lovers embraced,

And when I awoke, I realised the thoughts
resembled me.

Indeed a lovely poem, and indeed resembling many of us to a greater or lesser degree, I should think.

The play with the contrasts is very interesting indeed - colorful rainbows and stormy waterfalls;spectacular and plain;sad and bright; Methinks there is much more to this poem than meets the eye. In fact the poem itself bears analysis - WOULD SOMEONE PLEASE ANALYSE THIS POEM AND GIVE YOUR READING OF ITS EXACT MEANING.
Well done Poet - you have me thinking!!

Well, Deepak, I'm hardly qualified to analyze anything.  But to me the poem represented that which is in all of us....the thesis and antithesis, the bright and the dark, the color and the colorless...it's the two sides locked in eternal embrace and combat within each of us.  But...hey, I live in South Carolina, what do I know?   Other than the fact it is an excellent poem, and I liked it.  Hardrock

Yes it fit my life to a "T"
Great poem kid.

Joel.

I howl a mournful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel.
