Tears.  Tears.  Your incredible love for your special son shines so brightly.  Absolutely, this poem should be in the book!

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to post this twice.  First time it ever happened to me!

Teach,

I've always loved this poem...it reveals the emotion behind the bond between a loving, concerned father and his child. A gentle, tender testament to your love for your son...it brought tears to my eyes the first time I read it, and now it has again. I hope he is still doing well.

Just wanted to bring this back to the top... In all honesty, the heart in this makes it one of my all time favorites here...

Your poem is exquisite! Your description of your precious little son's disability is written with such love and tenderness. I really thank you for sharing this!

I am also the mother of a disabled child whom I love as you do yours.

I wasn't even a member when you first posted this, but I am so glad it found its way back. I am crying, but don't know why. This is such a beautiful verse and about such a beautiful child. See God knows who to send "special" childern to. Hugs, ME
