       "DAYDREAMING"

As I sit in my kitchen, looking
out at the sun so bright,
I can see the snow drifting, and shifting
  direction, and it's blowing forthright.

It is a very cold wintry day,
so I snuggled in my blanket,
  and dreamt the time away.

Do you remember the things we would
do, on a day like today?
Build a fire in the stove, or
perhaps, plow all the snow away.

Maybe we would watch a good movie, or
football game,
or bake lots of good stuff,
  Oh, on us for shame!

I can still smell the popcorn, cookies,
& hot beef stew,
but life is too short, and I only hope,
you can remember them too!

Hi 'didi',
I don't know how this gem made it almost all the way down to the end of the page without a reply. This is really sweet, and I have to commend you on a job well done. Keep writing, you do have a talent.
