I do have to appologize for the sad nature of this piece

Silent Vigil

Vigil's light gone dim
we wait
Where hope was once
love lives

And in quiet steps
death creeps
Extinguishing all with
one breath

Nothing extinguises the love. You've expressed grief vividly, Ruth. Very well done. No apologies needed for this!

No need to aplogize at all Ruth. Your thoughts were stated so breath-takingly beautiful in so few lines. Sad, but sweetened with the light touch of your pen ... lovely!

Best wishes,
/Kit

Hi Ruth,
I must concur with everyone else...the sadness, the grief, was so very easily "felt" in these few gentle and skillfully placed words of yours.
