A Life Time Of Choices

The choices I have made
and the dreams I have
dreamed may of not all of
come true, but I am glad
I had them.

Life is as a carousel of horses,
each dream has its own beauty
and never will it change course
from being a dream even if not
for filled.

Were is it written that our choices
or dreams have to reach perfection,
if anyone can say what that really
is or not.

If my choices caused any human
suffering I am sorry for to take
the chance is human, and hopefully
I learned from them.

If I made choices that earned
any merit I am pleased, and
for those choices I made that
fell low is grace I am still pleased
because I had the courage to make
them.

We have only so many directions
to go, but twice as many choices
to make, may we have the wisdom
to make the right ones.

I'm both decisive and indecisive..depends on my mood...but if there are too many choices, I freak out...can't decide! Good poem.

A wonderful poem Cerenity-1, so many choices we indeed have.. like you said....may we have the wisdom to make the right ones. Well Done.

Hi Poet deVine,

You said a mouth full, I have made many a choice wrong when I did not take the time to think about what ever it was, thank you for your thoughts.

Hi Dark Angel,

Yes the wisdom to make the right ones, I fall back into the same traps because I forget the wisdom I learned. Thank you for your thoughts also.

Cerenity~

On the 'carousel of life'
are many horses
ups and downs
and the making of choices.

Spinning round
making choices that last
always reaching
for the ring of brass.

Wonderful and thoughtful poetry, my dear.
A pleasure to share the carousel with you.
