kind of meant to be sung with an Irish lilt!

On these Isles

Oh sail with me to the isles of yore,
on a maiden voyage of gentle seas,
and run with me through mire and mists,
on a lover's magical journey.

Upon these shores such memories,
are rolling like these azure tides,
come lie with me beneath the stars,
till this fervour finally subsides.

Know today that we’ve been blessed,
your surname will now carry on,
come March and many months to go,
our bonnie babe, we’ll look upon.

And many years shall come to pass
I’ll still see beauty in your eyes,
and fall again into your arms,
until the last breath in me dies.

Oh, on these isles, we love.

Corinne,
Oh, that is a bonny poem
And these Isles I'd love to roam.

Reminicing of the ol' times?  This makes me want to go see the shore and the stars you saw on the isles... and sort of brings me back to the times I was in an island... Wonderful memories!

Corinne,

You sing magically, and with an Irish lilt, none the less. I'd join you in the tune, but screeching cat tail caught in the door sound is as close as I can get to an Irish lilt.

...And many years shall come to pass
I’ll still see beauty in your eyes,
and fall again into your arms,
until the last breath in me dies.

beauty in tune.

Corinne~
Aye .. 'tis a lilting tune for certain.
Mayhaps a duet with Parker ?

Corinne you always manage to come up with the most unsual topics. You are just as good at writing them as you are picking them.
