Write me a poem, he says
Let me know what you feel
But where should I start
And will he take it for real?

He's sweet and he's warm
He's kind and he's true
It's so easy to say
I've found a new friend in you.

He smiles at my humour
He frowns when I'm sad
Sends red roses to cheer me
From the week that I've had.

Now the housework's forgotten
And the dogs feel ignored
But without him on-line
I'm incredibly bored.

We spend hours chatting
About the thoughts in our head
And I hate to tell him
That it's time for my bed.

He knows all my secrets
Shares my hopes and my fears
Has it been just a short time?
Feels like I've known you for years.

He knows just what to say
To put a smile on my face
Wants so much to meet me
But has respect for my haste.

He's honest and patient
Wont push me too fast
And I've got to admit
I hope this friendship will last.

~Julie~

James - thanks for popping in! He liked the poem too! Sometimes it's nice to chat to a stranger about your hopes and fears. This was just a little ditty to let him know I appreciate it!

Excellent writing here.
I can relate to this one as Im sure many others online can.
Meeting someone online gives both parties a chance to get to know eachother in a much different way than you were to meet in a bar or else where.
Thank you for the read....NOW GO PLAY WITH YOUR DOGS   j/k
