I sit here and I think,
I sit here and I wonder,
I sit here and I ponder,
why this world has gone asunder.

I can understand death
can't understand hunger,
don't understand war or
these world powers we are under.

It all makes me mad,
also makes me crazy,
working so hard
yet feeling so lazy.

Someone talk to me
before I lose my mind,
tell me again about freedom,
and some Hope that I may find
a world for my children,
not lost in a crowd
one that lets us thrive
and which makes us proud.

( There's my Frustration with Humanity, fortunately
I try to live of the Spirit and not of the world)
So honestly, don't any of you beautifully caring people worry about me,this is just a healthy vent.

I can ditto your thoughts here. I don't understand many things that happen in the world or how we can let them continue. All we can do is stand up for what we know is right and raise our children with respect and love so that they can contribute to a better world.

There are too many global questons for one man to answer--your answers come from that place in your heart where you have some influance...and one and one add up to make a difference.  Liked your poem.

Paul, I like the way you vent! I share these concerns with you, and I also do my share of venting through writing. The key, I believe is to combine positive actions with our words as often as we can, through whatever means we can muster. Wonderful poem, Paul.

All that you speak of comes out of greed, and until we abolish that human trait, these things will be ever present. But it is frustrating, and thank you for venting things that we probably don't think about enough.

Hey Paul - I think you need to vent for another lap around the forum... This is too good to let it take a breather yet...

This is great.
It's so healthy to vent your spleen every now and then.
I'm gonna shoot this back to the top now....
