Balladeer, You Want To ?
~*Marge Tindal*~

If I had but one day
throughout the whole leap year,
I'd choose it to propose
to the handsome Balladeer.

That man just catches my fancy
and if he'd take my hand,
he'd even have me feeding him
Vienna Sausages out of a can.

I know I'm a shameless hussy
but I really don't give a damn.
That Balladeer is
one heck of a good-looking man.

I'd wrap myself up in his arms,
I'd whisper words of love.
Balladeer, oh, Balladeer
you are my turtle dove.

The way he uses phrases
has captured my heart so sweet.
Balladeer quite naturally
has swept me off my feet !

I'd chase him to the ocean,
I'd chase him round the forum.
I'd push his Balladeer button
until he screamed no more-um.

I'd tend his needs so tenderly,
I'd fill him with desire.
If ever he said yes,
Honey, I'd light his fire.

For the rest of his life
I'd be his little Sadie ...
I'd even be willing
to wash his little Mercedes.

Is there a vacancy yet?
Give me your answer, Balladeer.
Cause if you aren't available
I'll have to wait FOUR MORE YEARS !

Hey Marge, reading between the lines here!!  He would be a fool to run away from you, but I just know he's gonna have a clever comeback one way or tuther.

Well what do I see here
She is flirt'n with Balladeer
What? I'm standing lonely here
Well I must admit he looks better then I do
That old worn out shoe
So what can I say
Marge have it your way lol.
Just kidding
I'm tailgating and have a watchfull eye, better I make that two
Almost I forgot to say
Nice the poem Marge, beautiful so I may.

Hey, Marge, it would be wonderful to have you run me down
To feel your arms around me as you pull me to the ground
To hear your breath come out in gasps, see shining in your eyes
Your fist of exaltation raised to claim me as your prize.

But, 4 Sadie Hawkins days ago, another one gave chase
A woman so determined that I couldn't keep the pace.
She cornered me around the turn (not all against my will)
And, sixteen years thereafter, she is right beside me still.

She PEELS my Vienna Sausage, sautees them in white wine
Picks lint from my Balladeer button just because its mine.
She don't mind the times that I say nice things to the ladies
But she would NEVER let a woman fondle my Mercedes!

Besides, it's inconceivable that you would need to run
With all your goodies, you would be a treat for anyone
Forget that one day in four years and all that ballyhoo
There's 1,460 days that men are chasing you!!

Love ya, sweetheart

I look good, by the way, in a peach colored matron of honor dress...
HAHAHA!
This had me rolling, Marge!
Great job!

and most of all ....
MY BALLADEER~

Seems my proposal
to capture this man
has fallen quite
out of my hand.

It doesn't change
my opinion one bit
but don't think I can compete
with one who picks lint.

It was your choice
and you just blew it !
But it's my plan ...
and I'm sticking to it.

That's okay, Balladeer.
I'll still hold you dear.
You never know what happens
in the next four years !

Sadie didn't give up
after just one chase.
I'll be back, I promise ...
to finish the race.

Love you, Balladeer !
(yeah, I do)
~*Shady Sadie*~

*Thanks to PoetdeVine for this great
Sadie Hawkins Day fun !
Happy chasing, gals !

*HelmutB~ .. the day is not over yet !

Now, Marge, I'd like to enter here
With all respect for Balladeer
I can see that he is took
But, sweetie, take another look
There are dozens of them, maybe more
Beating on the passions door
Looking in attempts to see
This lovely, loving Cherokee
And Balladeer, it seems to me
Still cruises Route 183
Hoping yet that girl he'll find
And I am cruising right behind
Love ya

Elizabeth~ and Nan~ my dearly needed friends~

As you can see
I've been outdone,
by a lint-picking,
sausage peeling
other one.

Yes, by golly
of course you're right ...
my little heart
should be set right.

Daisy Mae wouldn't
easily let him off ...
of love and other stuff
to scoff.

Who'll pick his lint?
Who'll peel and feed him his weinies?
Who'll wash with a fervor
his little Mercedes?
Who?  Who?  Who?

Perhaps a penalty is due ...
but who would Balladeer
pay it to?
I KNOW .....  ME !

I came here after I saw the challenge that PDV put out in announcements.  Don't worry about Sadie Hawkins day.  Just keep up a vigous chase and he will be yours.  Heck, I had to chase mine for four years, but I never told him that when he thought that he caught me.  hehehe.  Wonderful pieces!!  Once all the ladies catch their men, what are they going to do with them? lol
Nope, on second thought don't tell me!!! hehehe

Love,
Lady

Brilliant?  Hmmmmmm !
Then I must be wearing the WRONG sneakers !
Thanks, gal.
This was lots of fun.

LadyCat~
I'm so glad you dug this one out.
Thank you.
It was a bunch of fun and that
Balladeer is still footloose and
fancy free. (in spite of my attempts)
LOL !
