A sad on but hey poetry comes from the heart right !

Home

I came the inland road,
Down through Harvey way,
Where I stopped by the river,
And whiled some time away.
~
I thought of love and life,
The things that it had brung,
Thought of you and me,
And how our hearts had sung.
~
The freedom of the road,
Can’t undo the pain,
But it soothes an aching heart,
Gives me hope again.
~
Now I sit alone in silence,
In a house that once was warm,
Ghosts are whipping ‘round me.
From the road that we have worn.
~
I can hear Alexander’s chatter,
Leading Poppy by the paw,
I think of little Rebecca,
And the things she used to draw.
~
I can see you to my love,
Doing dishes by the sink,
Fussing over breakfast,
And you’re funny special wink.
~
The echo’s of our life,
Chafe my aching heart,
They pull me into sadness,
Remind me we’re apart.
~
But daily I grow stronger,
To face what is ahead,
For I to dare to hope.
For the things that we have said.
~

THIS WAS SAD YES, BUT ALSO TOUCHED MY HEART. I TRULY HOPE THAT THINGS GET BETTER FOR YOU! KEEP YOUR CHIN UP, AND TRY TO SMILE...ITS WHEN WE THINK THINGS WONT GET BETTER, THAT SOMETHING WONDERFUL IS AROUND THE CORNER.

Oh, this was sad. You said it very well. I hope things will turn around for you soon, and the sunnier days return!

Paulsm~
Of course it's sad, but it's well-said.
Nothing like truth in longing.

May the sunshine your way
and light your heart with
the warmth of her rays.

Sad, yes...but reads with a sense of sincerity that I found becoming. Within sadness can be found truth. Very, very nice.
