Laura

Even though miles seperate us, me and you
You're my best friend, without you I don't know what I'd do
Sometimes knowing I've met someone as special as you, doesn't feel like reality
According to some people, it's in fact quite insanity
Once in a while I get kinda sad and wish you were here
I let out a sigh
But tonight while I was thinking a thought came to me
You and I live underneath the same big sky
And in that sky are lots of bring stars, ones that we both see
In you I confide, trust, share, talk and have fun with, that I won't deny
I've never met another person who knew me so well, so complete
Sure, I've got some great friends, and a wonderful family too
But noone completes me, not the way that you do
You gave me a reason to laugh, to make me smile or wink
You give me a reason to hope, to dream, to be me, to think
When all the rest of the world just doesn't seem to understand
You simply say "its okay" and reach out your hand
I just wanted to take this moment to say
From now until the end
You are my forever, one true best friend!

What a great tribute. It is so important to have this type of friendship. Does your friend have a copy of this??

Amy........a wonderful tribute to an obviously wonderful person.  True friendship is hard to find; hang on to it!!  Make sure you send a copy of this to Laura (but I'm sure you already thought of that).

Thanks to all of you for your lovely comments. Yes, I have given a copy of this to Laura. She LOVED it! As a matter of fact, she wrote a poem about me, which I too have read. I might submit it...with her byline of course. EVERYONE have a wonderful Saturday!!

Love ya,
Amy

A true friend is a "rare" and cherished thing, these days.  This is beautiful.
