There's nothing that rhymes with orange
But lotsa things that rhyme with stew
So this time rhyme every other line
That is the best thing you can do

There's nothing that rhymes with silver
So if you have a silver blade
Don't say you have a blade of silver
Say from silver this blade was made

If you want to speak of xenophobia
Poetry can be such a fine art
Try miss pronouncing Nairobia
Maybe they'll think that you are smart

So mighty poetic license
Any word you wish to include
But don't think that if you do so
It will mean your poem is good!

if this bombs i shall go to my various aliases and keep on pluggin j/k yuh yuh (i picked the color maroon..befitting aint it)

I have found there is no word that rhymes with "wolves" either, Walt.  They are my favorite of animals, and as I find them quite unique to all other animals, maybe it is appropriate this is so.  So what the hey, I'll just sit back on my my sofa tonight slicing oranges with my silver bladed wolf handled knife and watch Dances with Wolves...for about 4 hours - maybe then I could fall asleep and stop babbling all over the forums...LOL  Thanks for the laugh, bud.

O.K. Walt I liked this poem, and it is very thought provoking especially since you refer to a word used in one of my poems recently, which because I was writing an A to Z type of poem I needed an X word that would fit so I went to the trusty dictionary to find one I felt appropriate for the subject at hand, which was not easy when you consider the lack of X words in the dictionary. My question to you is did that have anything to do with this poem, because it is a strange word I never even heard before, but it's definition fit my scenerio so I chose to use it so my poem could be complete. You have just perked my curiosity that's all, so answer me quick, so it does not overpower my mind...LOL Thanks for sharing your poetry with us, and no resorting to other alias's only I can do that...LOL

Wonderful Walt! Nothing like a good laugh early in the morning

I sing my tearful song which has charms only for me."

Oh, btw, I forgot to say, there's nothing that rhymes with "maroon". Unless of course, you use a one syllable word like "soon".... is that cheating?

And, I have a question. What IS that thing you are hugging in your pic?
