Lighting has accrued,
static is in the air,
movement is taking place
my soul is shifting
as though the ground
is giving way.

Rifts and valleys
have appeared upon
the palette of my soul,
cracks run deep
to the very marrow.
Scanning familiar ground,
finding its been changed.

Age has little to do
with the mapping that
has taken place.
Strong willed and confident
in my beliefs.
No one having power over
my soul, but I was wrong.

The territory ahead is
not to my liking.
I will have to start charting
my own course in life.
Being held to this ground
in which I sit stagnate,
without clear direction
is not for me.

We became one but,
you hold the maps and keys.
You do not even let me
suggest a direction without
laying blame.

Yes I could go on weathering
the storms, but I am seeing
falling stars and wish upon
smoother plains to travel.

Enlightenment is upon me,
I am being charged,
there will be change.
I will once again
have power over my soul.

To all of you wonderful friends that replied
to my poem thank you so much. I don't know if this happend to anyone else here at passions but it happend to me. I have been waiting a long time for a chance to give the world one of my poems. I never dreamed of a place like passions, I only just resently got on to a computer ever in my life and to of thought of this place being here well!!
When I read all of your wonderful words I cried tears I never had exspected, feelings I will have to say put me to my knees and a weight came off of me like water. At this point there is no word to express my thanks  (see that word is just not big enough) to tell you how I feel. I will remember this one forever.

And now it bounces up from the bottom of page one to the top. Isn't it neat how it does that?
That happens when somebody really loves your poem, which I do

Hmmmm....

From the bottom of page one again...
Straight back to the top
If someone don't get control of this
It just might never stop.

LOL

Loved it enough to check it out again.

Thanks Cerenity, and welcome...again.LOL

I will keep it simple
This is Beautiful, need, cute, good, special, excellent, brilliant, extraordinary and, oh I forgot welcome to Passions

Where have you been all this time???

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.

OK BEFORE I RESPOND TO EVERYBODY AM I THE ONLY ONE HAVING TROUBLE WITH MY USER NAME AND PASSWORD???????????????????
MORE TIMES THAN NOT I CAN NOT GET ON TO REPLY

I am going to reregister under Cerenty-1 in case this trouble still keeps going for any one wanting to talk I hope it works....

WOW this computer stuff is something AAAA

OK now to all of you wonderful Sprits,
I keep checking my pulse to see if I am dreaming all of this. Who would of thought a nick name, pasword, and a little red folder flapping open and shut would of brought my spirit in to such bliss, but it did. I look at all of your replys and think are they for real do those words exist on my screen and are the names that appear beside there thoughts truly a soul speaking of me. I dreamed of a day when my spirit could sore and speek to another and be understood and that day came. May you all be blessed in word, thought, and deed for I have been by you.

Thank you, Cerenity

Ps, I still am going to try and use my first name Cerenity but if it does  not work I'll try the other one. Cerenity-1

EXCELENT Cerenity. I have to send this one back to the top.  I can relate to this one so much. Your last stanza was so encouraging. Your possitivety capured my heart. I had that positivity for awhile but I lost it somewhere. You have encouraged me to look for it ance again. Well done!!!

Cerenity,
This poem makes me want to break free from my corporate prison & start my own coffee shop, except the flaw with that vision are the poor labored people that pick beans for next to nothing.  I suppose I can dream that I won the lotto and helped those people that pick beans.  Great job with this...you really opened yourself up.
I look forward to reading more.
