Elizabeth...sorry to dissapoint you dear...but indeed it's only the flu bug, perhaps next time
Thanks everyone...yes, I do have the flu...working on about 6 days of it actually and trying to work at the same time. My hospital doesn't have sick days and hey, got to live some how...although the other day I was wishing I wouldn't...LOL...anyway, thanks for your replies and your thoughts

Hoot I sure hope you get to feeling better soon. The flu always brings me down to my lowest level of crankiness. I lose all sense of humour. You write a great poem about such a humourless subject. Get well soon!!!

hoot, if I'd been bitten by that bug I would certainly not be writing poetry much less be going to work. You have my admiration and my hope that you feel better very soon. (who ever heard of such a thing--a hospital with no sick leave--just doesn't make sense)

I hope you feel better soon, Ruth. Nasty nasty bug it is going around. Glad to see it's not keeping you from writing, though! Now eat your soup and get some rest. And take at least one day off from work, will ya?!

The ability to describe life with words is similar to painting a picture; both can be powerful tools.
