Those off the wall hours that I keep
Leave me drifting off in search of sleep.
My days are nights and my nights are days.
Who would choose to live this crazy way?

And just when you think you have it all figured out,
A change in shifts and again you're turned about.
Is it breakfast for dinner or dinner for lunch?
Perhaps, it's just time for brunch.

The cycle of hours go on and on.
Not sure if tomorrow I'll see moon or sun.
Only one things for certain with each stay.
I'm ready to go home at the end of the day.

Aren't we all.  Great poem!

And you learn to turn off your phone when you're sleeping odd hours... good one!

I can definitely relate to this one.  Even planners don't help...  But this is a lovely poem nevertheless.

Thanks Echo, Denise, PDV, and Astraea.  I've been fortunate not having to work these kind of hours, but I have friends that do and I never know when is a good time to call.
