There are so many people who enter our lives,
some do remain, others say their goodbyes.
I look back on my life and I know what is true,
this incredible friendship that I share with you.
I want to thank you for the gift of your love,
your kind gentle words, I've been blessed from above.
I want to thank you for the secrets we share,
and the laughter like two little girls without cares.
I want to thank you for the knowledge you've shown,
your wisdom has helped me face the unknown.
I want to thank you for your strength and your voice,
which you've given to me when I felt left without choice.
I want to thank you for the strong shoulder I use,
when I need to shed tears over battles I lose.
Years have gone by and I want you to know,
all you have given to me, I will never let go.
I know that somehow we were meant to be,
bestfriends to eachother, we are family.
An unspoken truth keeps our journey alive,
a song of true friendship, two souls who collide...

Very lovely.  I always like the subject of best friends.  I wish I could actually get the words down, like you have, to explain the connection between two people so close that you might as well call them family.  Nicely done.

You have found the best family of writers Tamera - and welcome to it!

This is fantastic - truly beautiful - and reminds me of my own best friend.

Very nice poem !!  The title also caught my eye!  I really liked it!  You'll find the importance of a good title here soon enough!  It's what "lures" someone in to actually read!  You've certainly mastered that already!  hehe  Welcome to our home, I know you'll want to stay a long time!  I too, look forward to reading more of your work!
