What does the future hold in store for you?
A question that I ponder often on
Alas, there isn’t much that I can view
These mortal eyes are shaded from that dawn.

Perhaps your days will play out much the same
As countless others who have gone before
You’ll find a love to set your heart aflame
To travel with, to fly above life’s shore.

Perhaps you’ll know a solitary life
Preferring thus to sojourn on your way
A friend or two to cushion lonely’s strife
To comfort you amidst your darkest day.

Whatever be the path ahead you choose
Within His arms of love you cannot lose.

Very true, Denise! I enjoyed this, as I always do your work. If I may ask, was it written for anyone in particular?

I was the FIRST to reply to this piece!

Set every threadbare sail-
And give her to the god of storms,
The lightning and the gale!

And I am the 2nd, I think
Is this a sonnet?
Whatever it is, it's lovely, Denise

Thank you, Elizabeth, Elizabeth S., Ruth, Roses Thorns and Balladeer for reading and for your kind comments!

Elizabeth- I wrote this for my grandchildren and their grandchildren and so on and so on and so on....... (sometimes my thoughts go on and on and on...hehehehe) But whatever their lot in life they can be sheltered in His arms! The only place to be!

Elizabeth- I think it's a sonnet...I'm never sure!
