We have an extra special love,
One almost holy it's true,
And although we can never be together,
My heart belongs to you.

We can liken ourselves to Catherine and Vincent,
From the TV Series Beauty and the Beast,
Like them we will never be together,
But never far apart to say the least.

A love so pure and strong,
Built on kindred hearts and minds,
I know this fact until my dying day,
No better relationship I will find.

I escape into the words we write,
We have our little visit everyday,
A love like ours has survived much already,
It will never tarnish or fade away.

So my love when you are sad and alone,
Feeling pain or misunderstood,
Know my heart, it feels your pain,
And I'd kiss away the tears if I could.

So we'll close our eyes and be together again,
On a windswept hill,
We'll draw strength and love from each other,
Until we've had our fill.

I'm always there hon, just a heartbeat away,
A love as this is so rare,
A precious miracle to hold onto,
Tonight I'll close my eyes and you'll be there.

I send my heart oh kindred soul,
Your love has already saved me,
With you I am finally whole,
We'll always be together, your soul is always with me.

This is beautiful, Isis!

Isis - this is one of the most beautiful poems I have read from you - what do you mean you're not happy with it?!

It touched me, so it's got to be good.
I'm not that easily moved.
I guess I know what it's like to be so near and yet so far from someone
Good work, Isis

How much this is.....I am left stired inside.  Can't explain it.... Moved me much ....Very very nice Isis.....Whish I had words to decribe it.

I have learned that the pain of a lost love will fade, But the memory of having loved will last forever.

Isis,
this poem is the most heartfelt thing that I have ever read that you have written. . .

How wonderful for the man that you talk about in the poem. . . and yet, how sad. . .

That which gives light must endure burning

I can't say why I don't like it, it didn't feel right or finished properly to me, too critical of my own work I suppose.
Glad you all liked it.
It is a wonderful love, beautiful, something to be cherished, not sad
