Yes, of course. What I am saying is that when the Christians held Jerusalem, most of them didn't look upon Muslims and Jews as equals. They didn't respect them or think they had a right to be there. Thats why they were cruel, thats why Saladin declaired war on them (well among many reasons).

The movie focuses on people who have a sort of Utopian vision of the Holy Land. They think that everyone should have the same treatment and that everyone had a right to be there. I think it's unrealistic because, although some people thought that way, I'm sure, most people were how I stated in my first paragraph--they thought that they (Christians) were superior.

Clear?

gotcha lol i'm getting up there in age y'know. sometimes, not all the pistons are firing. the closest thing this planet ever came or will ever come to a 'utopia' was ancient alexandria. to bad the city, and more importantly its library, an ancient wonder of the world, were destroyed

old enough lol

well alexandria was more of an intellectual utopia. i agree, i personally don't think humans are capale of existing in such a state, we seem to create and thrive on misery. how can one believe in a race that allows ben affleck to make movies?

You don't like Ben Affleck?  Daredevel is the first movie this old gal bought for the sheer joy of it.  Just realized too he is now with his leading lady in that one, Jennifer Garner.

Here I thought I lived in Utopia, now that's two of my bubbles burst in one day

Sharon in my opinion, he has to be one of the worst actors ever. absolutely wooden/talentless. i hate to rag on him because he seems like a nice guy in interviews, but why he's thust into starring roles is beyond me. i blame kevin smith and matt damon for helping him into hollywood.

I don't think he's much of an actor either.  He is actually here right now shooting a new movie.  You know who I do like? Ed Norton, Johnny Depp, and Sean Penn, and I make sure I see every project they take on.

In answer to your first question though, I can't wait for Charlie And The Chocolate Factory.  I guess I am just a kid at heart.

Johnny Depp has such a natural talent for just "being" . . . he could play any role and be amazing . . .

I agree about Affleck (sorry Sharon) but My God he is like the David Cassidy of Hollywood.

(Can't you picture him singing
"I Think I Love You?")

yep . . . I knew you could . . . *smile*

roflmao....omg you put that perfectly. I really liked Vin Diesel at one point....eww.

Sharon-I really liked Daredevil and I just bought Elecktra. My son and I are into the marvel comic movies. BTW, I am going to look like Jennifer by the time I am 40. LOL. She's o.k. as an actress but she is beautiful.

Johnny Depp is by far the most underrated actor in hollywood. He's been in some horrible movies, and yet, always turns in a stunning performance.

Cloud--I fell in love with him as soon as I saw him in LOTR! As for my name, thanks See the thread about names to see the origin!

Chris--that whole movie looks freaky in general! I don't even want to see it!

Gene Wilder was freaky in that role to begin with, that movie kinda scares me anyhow kinda like the flyin' monkees in the Wizard of Oz . . . and the oompas are freaky, mannn.

and that px of Depp up there : :

I agree, Raph . . . truly under rated.

Hey Suzie for one minute I almost thought it was Depp too.  He truly is an under rated actor. His role in Chocolat was one of his best.
