Moon Dust, are you saying that the best poetry comes to us in a burst of inspiration?

My best creative writing (I write prose, thank you ) comes when I'm utterly exhausted and my mind is detached from the rest of me. It just flows then, no mental blocks to hold me back, just a flow of ideas, thoughts and emotions. I think the silence of the mind encourages the seeds the Muse plants to grow unhindered.

"And every state of mind, left to itself, every shutting up of the creature within the dungeon of its own mind - is, in the end, Hell" - C.S. Lewis

I have found that the poets here are loving, tolerant, accepting, open minded and so many other wonderful things. I think that the best poetry comes from that attitude to life and love. "Live and let live!"
And while I'm on the subject, thank you everyone for being so wonderful.

Good question, Sven.

Out of the unseen?

From perception unpolluted?

When vision becomes visible?

When something happens that moves one. Be it happy or sad. It just grabs you and you have to pick up a pen and write about it. Or for those who don't know what a pen is, sit at the computer and start typing.
