I've lived a thousand lifetimes,
Twix the covers bound and tied.
I've journeyed through the ages,
On wild horses I did ride.

I've climbed a top Mt. Everest,
And sailed the seven seas.
I've watched a thousand babies born,
Swung silent through the trees.

I've crawled in mud with weapons armed,
And stood upon the stage.
I was a fairy princess once,
Each lept off every page.

I've fell in love and died in vain,
For things that I believed.
I've even been to Egypt,
For a treasure to retrieve.

I've lived a thousand lifetimes,
Twix the covers bound and tied.
If you don't believe me,
Open up and step inside.

Ruth: The title of your latest poem inspired this. I know this poem has nothing to do with the one you wrote but the title spoke to me. Thankyou my friend.

Marilyn~
Isn't inspiration wonderfully welcomed?
This is quite nicely done.
Your 'years' are displayed convincingly.
Very pleasurable read, Marilyn.

Marylin,
This is absolutely beautiful. Isn't it wonderful when merely a title can inspire us?

Marg...a little inspiration is more then I have had in forever.   Ruth's title just caught me and the words flowed.

Sharon....If I ever need an escape I either read or write. In both cases I am transported to another time and place. Reading is such a wonderful thing!

Jeffrey....Thankyou for your words.   It is wonderful when inspiration comes and Ruth has always been a source for me.

Mike..you rascle you. *giggle* I knew I would receive that kind of response from you. lol. My only question is....Am I alone between those covers?   lol

Is your real name Sheherezade? Super.
