Easter Lily Her leaves unfold with the harvest moon's rising As Mother Nature watches idly by... Opening the heavens to view her frolicking ways, Clouds majestically disclose a clear sky. Her lacy white texture opens up with sweet nectar Displayed in moist droplets like pearl... Pollinating by moonlight and twinkling stars, Her spirit soars like an infatuated young girl. Her fragrance of spring blankets rolling green hills With church bells ringing in rhythm and rhyme... Joining in chorus with hummingbirds and bumblebees, Her life blossoms throughout ages of time. She rejoices the birth of earth's jubilation Like a gentle whisper from a newly wed wife... Adorned in her bouquet of flowering beauty, An ornament of our Savior's new life. -Robert E. Michaud Jr.- |
