I see enmity in every breath, the rose with its thorns- the sun guiding plants to growth, only to blister them and kill them, the promises betrayed, my tears in a l I t t l e f l o w e r that never grows, that lies there dead, and still dying every day. |

Ugh, I know one thing- I cannot write any happy poems at the moment. This is what I happened to come up with. |

Dove- I had a bad day, I imagine, but the reasons are still unknown to me. Therefore I do not know what to say. But thank you for what you said- I like its shape too! Michael- Let that be for you too. We all need to make good examples of ourselves for others! I was writing on sin making me feel "dead" and even then I still am dying from it. I am the rose, and roses have thorns. It's our sinful nature. You see where that leads! Thanks, Michael. |

Artur, go look in the mirror again for me my friend... And if it is your sinful nature you are concerned over - remember grace. It can be that simple. I have to say - I love this poem - the structure, the feeling - and if all you can write is unhappy - then do it! You need your expressons. We don't always know WHY we have the feelings but it is important to let them out - in a way that feels safe and right for us - so do not feel obliged to write 'happy' if you do not want ok? Severn,..... it is not that, although related a little bit... I haven't had a close friend in so long, that part of it might have to do with isolation. I may have started blaming myself- thinking that I have something to do with my isolation. maybe something's not right about me. I know I shouldn't think like that but I can't shake it off. By close friend, I mean I have been living in an invisible world where I only see what happens to me- I do not hear what other kids say or do,- I feel alone. I feel empty. Empty's the word. But there are so many reasons why I feel like this that I can't even think of one! I love your words of wisdom, though. This poem is probably just part of it. I hope I haven't distracted any of the poets here. Thanks Kamla my friend. |

Artur, You may have more friends than you realize. I know the people in this forum are very loving & supportive! I know that I am much older than you, and growing up, I too felt very detached-somehow different from others, in a somewhat unsettling way. It took me a long time to realize that it doesn't matter what others think, but what I think about myself, and what God thinks. And the neat thing about God, is He love me anyway, and is very willing to forgive, and capable of forgetting, so I need to try to do the same. God bless you friend, keep seeking His way and You will find Yourself & your Joy. It worked for me.
