"sleeping under the sun" Spherical skies, I lie in sleep, while the daylight embraces me, in sweet sleep the sun yet is high, the heavens are below, away all the worries of the world have fled, the wind sifts my hair, on the grass of the hill yonder, where all is quiet and dear, where green pastures dwell near quiet waters for all eternity, for torment is no longer known, the evil no more there is, no longer will tears fall because of evil men, evil is perished, my eyes are clear as the springs of the deep, the mark of evil gone, I can see farther than I once did, there is no death in the flesh, my God is there with me, I sleep unafraid, weariness is long gone from my face, nor is there any trace of pain on that face, the love of the Lord rests on me forever, He is my light day and night, as I sleep without shame under the sun. |

artur i liked this one alot - it gave me goosebumps reading it - and what a peaceful scene to imagine - you have such wonderful poetic writing. I also didn't understand what you meant by 'there is no death in the flesh' though... I especially liked the line "the love of the Lord rests on me forever" - wow! Great stuff!!!!  |

This is beautiful! Could this be a dream of heaven to come...hence no death in the flesh? And all those other wonderful things...some of which we experience now and some that won't be fulfilled until a future time? Just a thought! Denise |

Dove, There! Finally. A change, peaceful writing. I felt like it, thus I wrote it. I will be honest with you in saying that I dreamt about this. I suppose I put down "there is no death in the flesh" because I might have been imagining what it must be like living in heaven- this could be how I see heaven. Sin inherited death into the world. I was that person sleeping, in the dream, and I could see very far, farther than I can now. I could also run w/o tiring. There was a certain feeling that death was impossible, because energy was infinite. That's just what I dreamt about. That is what I must have meant (I guess). I wrote this pretty fast. I am so gratified I got a compliment like this from you. It means a lot to me.... Denise, You hit the nail right there! I did dream about it.... you are quick!....I agree with the thought. *S* |
