I close my eyes, trying to forget
Your face, your eyes, the way you smell,
The way I feel when your hand brushes mine
But it's impossible
Your presence lingers on
With every breath, every move, you are still there
I know that so much heartache could be avoided
If only I could forget
But love is strong, and it lives forever
Even after death and pain
Love is what carries us through

Wow, you just spoke like exactly what I feel. Is this from a past relationship? If so I'd love to talk to you about it. Amazing poem, you have a great talent.
