Broken Down Reflection

*The mirror has cracked
along with my heart.
I knew it was wrong
right from the start.

*It's done and over
it's in the past,
You and I
Would never last.

*The reflection is broken
I can't make it out,
I'm standing right there,
but what's this about?

*I looked harder
and all I see,
is the broken down reflection
of the lonely me.

marisa ~ your poem is good, i just had one question... is the mirror simply a metaphor, or were you actually looking into a cracked mirror when the idea for the poem came to you... i just wondered... hope to hear more of your work soon...

sincerely,
