High Noon

A dinosaur of old bones,
Fills my boots and feeds my roots
Grumbling out the overtones.

The sun is up, it's high noon
Sweat runs blind like pastured sheep
In my mind a childish tune.

Humming sweats of sanity
Festering on streets of fear and
Feeding wolves of vanity.

And ego clowns in minion,
Offering up wild daffodils,
While watching o'er dominion.

I read and read and read some more and it dawns on me that this is no simple tune!
Well worth pondering over.
Cleverly done.

Wolfgang,
The tune is simple, not the song.
Thank you for the read and comment.
