So many years I've let pass away
Thinking you were here just yesterday
But long ago you left this life
Moving on to the One True Light

You were my friend, my enemy, my brother
"Best friends for life", we swore to each other
You touched our lives and your job was through
God our Father, had bigger plans for you

Childhood friend
your memory lives
The thanks I have
is all I can give
Remembering the lives
that you did touch
Family and friends
miss you so much

We'll never forget you or the times we shared
Just wish you were here to show how much we cared
In the Father's Kingdom we'll be joined again
A beautiful day of reunion with friends

Augchic- Thank you very much, this was about a friend of mine who died when I was eight years old. It took me several years before I could accept it. Poetry is therapy for the soul.
