A warm rain feeds the garden of the soul.
Splashing droplets fall with such liquid grace.
Rivulets flow washing away old grief.
These tears are the reward of compassion.

Molten iron spills white-hot from the forge.
Inchoate screams are swallowed down with bile.
A bleak, coldness of soul comes creeping in.
Such tears are the price of being enraged.

A geyser of pain wells up from within.
Waterfalls cleanse the heart of it's sorrow.
That salty water becomes an ocean.
Tears such as these are the outcome of grief.

Rain streaks and blurs the windows to the soul.
Rain fills you up even as it flows out.
Trickles become torrents as the well fills.
These tears are the greatest display of love.

Wow Dream, I sit here in awe that you've now succeeded in making me cry....

I can't even begin to express the pain this made me feel...welcomed it though...I think there are a few of us here who are hurting in this very way...This is only suppose to happen in the springtime! Everyone finding love all at once ! Yet we all sit here staring blankly at the pain we feel without our lovers near us. Thank you kind sir for sharing this....thank you.

Again, this was an exercise in blank verse, though I will write more I think. My gratitude to those who have replied.
