On December 13, before the first bell of the day, Steven, Daniel, Jesse, Meila, and I all met on the little league field.  Meila brought her bottle, just as planned and I my cards. It was rather warm on this December day, so the jackets were placed on the cement, where we sat. The bottle was placed in the middle and we drew to see who spun first.  It came up me!

“Come on Kiara!” they all shouted.  I looked around, hoping it would land on Steven, but I was pretty much positive that it wouldn’t.  I wish I could have seen the look on my face, when it did.  I know that at that moment my hands began to shake.

“Kiara?  Are you still with us?” I heard Meila say.  “Or, is it because you have a HUGE crush on Steven?” I looked at her, my face red, and motioned for her to shush.  My face was getting redder by the moment.
“Well, Steven, whatcha waitin’ ya want your kiss or what?” I said slowly inching towards him. He backed up, nervously.

Jesse and Melia looked at each other; they both knew that I’d had a huge crush on Steven for the longest time.  Meila got a suspicious look on her face, motioned to Jesse, and they both nodded.  Then she took his arm, and Jesse took mine, and they drug us into the dugouts and wouldn’t let us out until we kissed.

“Come on, Steven, it’s your turn to spin!”  Melia said when we were walking back to the jackets, and the bottle.  When we all sat back down, I was already tired of Spin the Bottle.  So I thought about another game we could play.

“Hey guys, wanna play Truth or Dare, instead?” I asked.

“Yea!” shouted the others.  So we all picked a card to see who goes first.  It came up Daniel.  Since we have rather odd rules for Truth or Dare, he handed out cards to see who he gets to ask.  I had a 10, Jesse had a 6, Meila had an Ace, automatic dare.  We all laughed, and Daniel sat back, trying to think of a dare.

“Alright, I dare you to switch shirts with Kiara”, he said.  We looked at each other, I thought it didn’t seem to bad, so I agreed.  After the switch, it was her turn to pass out cards: Jesse: 5, Steven 9, me 10, Daniel 8.

“Ok, Kiara, truth or dare?” she looked at me hoping I’d pick truth, so shed get me to admit my crush on Steven.

“Umm, I chose Dare,” I said regretting it as soon as it came out of my mouth.  She knew that I regretted it, so shes gonna give me a GOOD one.

“Alright, then Kiara, I dare you to lick Steven’s nose.” She said with an evil grin.

“What?!” I shrieked.  “You want me to lick his nose?!” I covered my face to hide try to keep from laughing.

“Umm, guys”, Daniel said, pointing to the Administrator coming in our direction.  We were pretty sure she hadn’t seen us, so we slowly started walking towards the woods.  It seems as though she was going to the snack bar, because someone had broken in the night before.

We ran into the woods and stopped at the old picnic table where most kids usually go to get high, we just sat down and continued our game.

“Ok, now whose turn is it?” I asked, hoping they wouldn’t remember that I still hadn’t licked Steven’s nose.

“Uh, Kiara, you didn’t forget your dare did you, or are you hoping that we did?” said Meila.

“Um, no, but she followed us into the woods and she sees us now. RUN!”

With that, we were off in a dash, heading towards Michael’s house.  He got a surprise with two of the girls he hung out with the year before, and then 3 guys he’s never met before knocking on his door and 9 am.  He let us in, saying we can stay in the living room while he dresses.

He was upstairs for about 5 minutes when the doorbell rang, Jesse answered and the next thing we heard was his voice saying “Busted!”...

LOL, hey, were you following me???

I hate to admit it, but I did my share of ditching in High School, (think I held a record or something!) And yes, I also did my share of Truth Or Dare! A fun game, but definitely not one you should get caught at!!! Good one here, thanks for the laugh!

“What were you thinking?” said Ms. Weaver.  “Tell me that”>

We all looked at each other, wondering which was going to speak first.  Melia and Daniel looked at me, trying to get me to speak for the group.  I stood there, thinking of an explanation.

“Its exams, none of us have to take this one, so we wanted to play some games that we didn’t want those people to get in on. Some of the questions we ask are personal, and I really don’t think it’s any of their business, and besides, last year during exams, they told us to ‘get lost’.”

“Well that still doesn’t answer my question, now does it?” standing there, the five of us looked around at each other, I was thinking about how deep of a brow Jesse’s eyes are.

“Oh crap”, I thought o myself, and I had left my cards in the woods!  “Excuse me, MRS.  Weaver.” I said; knowing she hates being called misses.  “I seem to have left something rather important to me at our meeting place, so I must go get it, if I may.”

As I moved past her, I could sense her anger growing.  Meila and the others followed me, and Ms. Weaver didn’t do anything about it, because she knew I had here where I wanted her.  What was she going to tell our parents?  “Yea, I caught you kid at a friends house after school today.”

“One more thing before we go, We were celebrating MY birthday at Michael Reids’ house, which is where you caught up to us, our parents knew what was going on, we just ok a brake on the walk. SO, call my mom if you must, but she will just do the same thing I just did”

Nothing can beat the look on her face when we walked out, and out the school doors back to Michael’s house…
