I wish to share some of my beliefs in the paranormal. Now you'll all think I'm suitably mad, but I have witnessed too much to say comfortably, 'I don't believe!'. I'll share a couple of examples with you and let you be the judge and jury.

Paranormal experts say that you are most open to witnessing or partaking in the paranormal during puberty. You are at your greatest growing phase, physically and spiritually. I believe this because that was when things started happening for me.

One year at a holiday down by the beach where we went every year, my first 'episode' happened. I had a migraine and was far too sick to leave the unit where we were staying. Mum and Dad had ants in their pants to go for a walk. So I told them to go and have fun, I'd be fine on my own.
I didn't know where they would go, neither did they. They came back, and I could see Mum had been crying. I was feeling better and asked what was wrong. She lost her beloved watch her mother had given her. Without them saying another word or telling me where they had walked I said," Why it's on the breakwater where you stopped to watch the boats struggling in with the tide!" Mum and Dad were staggered and asked how I knew they went to the breakwater and I just knew. Subsequentally they went back and it was right where I said it would be.

Dad and I have always had a special link and no what the other is thinking and about to say, we have been laughing over that one for years, it still continues today, though is nowhere near as strong as I live in my own home now.

I had a dream around this time of my Grandmother becoming ill with bowel cancer and dying. I knew all the details of the funeral too, what it was like, who was there, the music, what was said. I told this to Mum, she didn't want to know. And sure enough within a year or so, she got the bowel cancer and died. I went to the funeral it was my first, and it was deja vu the whole time. Right down to the music, and what the preacher said. I'd never been to a funeral before let alone this Mt.Thompson where it was held. So it was sort of freaky.

Around this year as well I was alone in the downstairs room, and got severe shivers up and down my backbone. Like the old saying someone is walking across your grave. I turned around and saw a white torso and face of what appeared to be a young boy child. The only colour on him was his eyes, the deepest blue. He looked scared and as though he wanted me to help him. I glanced at my watch it was about 1.00pm in the afternoon. I watched him until he faded away slowly in the sky. I then raced upstairs and told me Mum. She said I must have been dreaming and turned on the radio to get my thoughts away from that. The news came on the radio and a little boy had been killed in a hit and run accident nearby at about 1.00 pm today and any witnesses were to contact the police. That was my boy!! I knew then he had come for help but being 12 at the time I didn't know what to do.

I've had other experiences which I'll have to continue in Part 2 as this will be too long.

What do you think so far?

Not bad I think Isis, but poltergeist activity being linked to primarily females during puberty could also be explained by the theory that the electromagnetic field surrounding the body is amplified and used as psychokinetic energy by the female to move onjects.

Ghosts are another matter all together and to relate my opinion would merit an entire post of it's own.

Part 2 please!!!!!! Well done. Most people do have these feelings and sightings are a daily occurance, most just refuse to believe what they see and feel.

fascinating reading here Lisa....I do believe in the paranormal, although ,for myself it has been limited to things like knowing who is calling when the phone rings and writing a letter to a friend I have not been in touch with for awhile only to receive one from them that same day......enjoyed this piece and am now going to read number 2.......

Glad you all liked it and didn't think I'm a loon. I didn't bother with the smaller ones (stories) just the most vivid or interesting.
