I'll stand on the outside and look within and try to tell you Marilyn some of my emotional facets. I've never written in Prose before so bear with me..

How you see yourself is so different from how other people see you. We can't change that, that is the way that it is. I shall tell you what I think of myself.

I love to laugh, a funny story, a good joke, a funny movie or book etc. I'm quite fond of Derek and Clive (Peter Cook and Dudley Moore), Robin Williams, just to name a few. I usally see the funny side to every story. My laugh apparently is contagious and when I laugh those around me join in genuinely. Laughter is a wonderful medicine for the soul, very cleansing.

My music is the most precious thing to me, even more so than Passions!! I live for music, it's such an important part of my life.
I sang in pubs on stage before I married. Everyone seemed to like it. If I'm not singing there is still music in my head most of the time. Now you all know what is wrong with me HA HA!! I play a few instruments to the Flute, Irish Tin Whistles, a small bit of guitar and piano. The Irish Tin Whistles are my favourite at the moment. I have a neat stereo my hubby got me for my 21st and it has recording facilities on it, and I still record myself singing every 6 months or so, after I've taught myself an hour's worth of new songs.
I like all varities of music, classical through to new age and everything in between. It is a major part of me.

I am very sentimental, have lots of little keepsake momentos, and I'm always starting some family tradition. I even laminate good drawings from my son Dylan to keep always. So naturally I love photographs of loved ones and have a rogues photo gallery that is one of my pride and joys.

I love animals and have 2 cats and 2 budgies, I feed wild lorikeets, magpies and butcherbirds, and whatever other birds care to eat from the feeder. So I'm never alone, I have my animal friends too!!

I consider myself a wonderfully caring person, who would do anything for anyone,
help in any way I can. I volunteered for a number of years at the local children's hospital wherever I was needed, be it kitchens on just keeping the kids company. I like to think all the genuine caring I give out in my life will come back in my time of need. Also, once I love I never stop, even when they are gone, or it's over etc. I can't change that, though at times I wish I could.

I need to keep busy, a stagnant life would take it's toll on me, so I'm always doing something. Never sitting still for long, and no I'm NOT hyperactive..

My negatives and I have a few. I get jealous easily, always have, it is my greatest downfall. Though of course I try not to let anyone know.

I have a temper too, though I learned to control it during puberty. I don't often blow out, but when I do look out!! And after I do, I am so damnably drained physically and emotionally I could go to be for a year.

I'm a perfectionist too, I do my best, and expect everyone else to as well.

I detest people with small tolerance to whatever. Why go around complaining and making waves, what does it get you in the end? Nothing or a heap of trouble! Anyone who lacks compassion or understanding isn't worth knowing in my book.

Nature and all her gifts, be it rock formations, the beach, the desert, the swamp whatever is beautiful to me. I love beauty, be it nature, in people, antiques, music, the written word or whatever. These beauties are a blessing to me and I try to remember that always.

I'll finish this by saying I help any human or animal in need, I couldn't live my life any other way.
I do my utmost to create a warm, comfortable, safe and loving home for my family.
I try to be the best person I am capable of being always, and hope that people see and appreciate me for what I am.

Nicely done .I think you see into yourself well. If you like what you are then others will like it too.

I know this was posted a while back, but I was just searching around here on Passions. I wanted to reply. I wouldn't have, but I do that too often...Don't do something and for what good reason? None usualy. What's going to happen? I'm sorry. It's just that your honesty about yourself, Isis, is compelling me to do the same.
Anyway, it's great to find out more about you. Your kindness definetley will come back to you. At least I know I try. Your words mean a lot to me I know.
Bye now
