I want to write you a poem but the words are not there.
I want to make you a sonnet but you wouldent care.
I read your poems and You sound so divine!
That god given talent used to be mine!!!

I would gift you a poem
but the words are not there.
I want to sing you a sonnet
but you wouldn't care.
I devour your verse,
you sound so divine,
blessed of god given talent
that used to be mine!!!

Its cute...I like it...I added some touches...hope you don't mind...
As is the etiquette of C&C
this is offered with respect,
to be taken or left
as you feel it...
peace poet... :-))

don't strain yourself, fear. the only inspiration i seem to have anymore is total depression, exciting. yeah, well, i guess it could be worse. keep trying and i'm sure that you'll come up with something. i love you.

It seems to me that 'inspiration' is the result of a constant process of working. Do you have a writer's notebook? Do you write everyday? I think if you wait for that 'urge to write' you will probably go through long periods when nothing comes. If you write snippets, ideas, moments of clarity, moments of beauty throughout your day, you'll actually find that 'inspiration' coming more often. How you write the poem is up to you but a writer's notebook will set you up as a permanent writer. You begin to think about it all the time (which has its own problems of course)

Give it a shot,
Brad
