The rain has stopped and all is calm,
I listened and heard not a scratch;
Still I started saying my psalms,
In the hall someone struck a match.

I sat straight up and sniffed aloud,
This old place will burn up like thatch;
I smelled cigarette smoke and cowed,
In the hall someone struck a match.

Yep, Jimmy, they just never give up on us, do they? Thanks for the cool comment.

This one gave me the chills Jerry ~ Funny how our minds can play tricks on us and have our senses come alive!  OR is it really just a mind trick or not???  Loved this!  Alana
