    Whispers of Love

Just beyond the gentle
     lavender twilight
a brilliant, elusive moon
rushes through towering
     cloud canyons
over these ancient
soft-silvered hills, lakes,
      and forests
on this calm-bright night
of  life, Spring, and
‘Deep-Time’  passing.
In this wilderness place
and the glorious ‘now,’
that which falls away is
all the ashes and tyranny
of ego, envy, and grasping
    strife,
for here the mind, heart,
and spirit turn clear as
a mountain stream
swept clean by the infinite,
eternal starlight and
cosmic whispers of Love

Thanks, Alana! ...

Some of my (many) "critics" feel otherwise though ...

One said I only 'pen' Happy, Smarmy Nature, Travel,
and Romanticism writes that are nothing but "pseudo-
sentimental syrup-dipped tripe" ... another such "critic"
said that I'm 'stuck' somewhere in the "19th. century age
of Romantic drivel" ...

but maybe ... just maybe ... this still lovely but 'oft sad,
'ol world actually needs more "incurable Romanticists?!"

Dreamer, you write so beautifully.  Your words are calming, tender, serene and heartfelt. How dare anyone judge you.  I love every romantic poem you have ever posted.  You and your poetry are very special.

Thank you so much for the lovely comment/reply!

Not only do I have "literary critics" specifically,
but most Americans that I encounter per diem
absolutely HATE poetry ... one said to me "If ya
can't eat it or bank it, it's nothin' but a silly waste
of time!" [such is the double-post-modern
"Runaway American Dream]
