we think in another ways
when it’s dark

she said to me as she
reclined on the unmade bed
stretched lazily
and quoted a skid row poet
I believe God is in my heart
who I embarrass quite regularly

she gave me that quirky little smile
stood and stretched long and hard
then hooked
her thumbs inside her panties
giving me the universal
look of lust

the universal look of lust
she wore it well I'd say, bringing
her into your poetic world

Yes indeed she did, Emma. I vividly remember black, jet black hair falling just below the softness of her shoulders . . .
