A deep sleep is my fate,
But not so deep in death,
Beneath the ground I wait,
To take another breath.

I lie neath clouds of gray,
They have forgotten me,
Yet I have not decayed,
I wait the day I'm free.

Underground I do scheme,
They buried me alive,
And never heard me scream,
But in this grave I thrive.

I have evolved at last,
They buried me for spite,
I forget not the past,
I'll n'er forget that night.

With torches from pine trees,
A sad march to my grave,
No matter my loud pleas,
Near the mouth of this cave.

I lie patiently here,
I do not breathe the air,
I feel freedom is near,
They all should say a prayer.

LeeJ, I have forgiven everyone who needs forgiving, even my mother.
I forgave her, but you are absolutely right I will never forget.
Thank you for lingering inside my world these few moments.
