Small, The By-products Photographs . . . of one type or another – scanning, one by one, digitally preserving History, Time, Lives in passage - all representative of the photographer who recorded for posterity and yet, it’s the photographer who’s gone. Small, the by-products of his life, large his legacy, his place in memory; but, oh, I’d burn it all to look my father in the eyes again. © wesley james beard, jr. Was sitting here scanning my father-in-laws decades of family photos (mostly slides) and thought of this piece I'd posted a number of years ago (in a different format) - and my soul said post it again (naughty soul!!) |

I have too often been amazed at the things that so define a person we only come to see once they have passed on. I have shared in that peculiar grief, my friend. Michael |

what a special perspective of your father to have. What a special way to preserve it and honor it. What a special son. Lori |

Sometimes it is imperative to listen to our soul, Jimmy. Good poetry. ~*~ Tell the truth, but tell it slant.--Emily Dickimsom ~*~ |
