   The Winds of March

On this night
so deep and dark
save for the brooding
Winter moon draped
in a mystic, tattered
cloud-tapestry
of ominous portent,
when youth, Spring,
and Love seem only a
faded dream within
a dream of long ago
and far away, lost to
the mists of irrevocable
time and a past of sad
   regrets,
hope still whispers to
the lonely spirit-heart
of change and possibilities
riding the capricious winds
   of March.

Keep your hat pulled down tight, pay out the string and release your kite!

Touch, but don't look
