The beauty is sometimes a cruel poison
when Rimbaud runs away from vowels,
from illuminations forced by the world
where his unknown youth wanders,

O beauty you please me, in the bites
of the naked cathedrals and the illuminations,
I would be a slave of the somber melodies
if they resound in your black hair,

The beauty, a poison? I think not
when her sun enlightens citadels
or infames stones of the prisons,
when your eyes inspire my passions,

From north to south, the beauty illuminates
the banks of the rivers where we navigate,
the promises which we make to the children,
her mystery lights the fire of the world …

yann

quand tes yeux inspirent mes passions,

Merci beaucoup d'avoir me l'a donné en français.  Cela me touche profondément.

merci

Not sure I've ever seen a more appropriately titled poem.  This was a beauty indeed.

Beauty...a poison? I think not.
Beauty, in all its forms, is a balm, a salve applied to the wounds of ugliness, in all its forms.
Food for thought here.

grand-fine writing ...

I especially LOVE the last line:

"her mystery lights the fire of the world …"
